Course Details
It is a requirement that food handlers have the skills and knowledge relevant to their food duties to keep food safe. This Food Hygiene certificate course will provide the training required for students to gain an understanding of their responsibilities in the workplace. All staff in the workplace should have completed this Food Hygiene course as a minimum to ensure the business meets the requirements set out by the Law.
This Food Hygiene certificate course is delivered by TCP Training.

Pre-requisites
Students are required to be able to complete Food Hygiene certificate course assessments in English. The course includes videos, photos, and questioning to assist all learners during the program. If you would like to bring a translator with you or have other learning needs due to your Language, Literacy or Numeracy skills, please contact our office on 02 9232 1010 prior to enrolling into this course.

Training Program
Correct Food Hygiene training and preparation will reduce the food poisoning instances which affect more than 5 million people in Australia
every year. With the correct food hygiene strategies in place, workplaces can prevent food poisoning. By holding a food hygiene certificate,
the risk of food poisoning occurring can be reduced.
The Food Hygiene certificate course covers the following topics:

- Causes of food poisoning
- HACCP
- Personal Hygiene
- Control of pests
- ANZFA guide to food safety standards
- Implementing Acts and regulations
- Cleaning, storage and prevention

Certification
Students who are assessed as competent will be issued a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment for SITXFSA005 Use hygienic practices for food safety.
This Food Hygiene certificate course is delivered by TCP Training with certificates issued by TCP Training (RTOID:91118).
Once all tasks and assessments are completed, certificates will be emailed to the student.
